AI girlfriend subscription costs: what you actually pay
When comparing AI companion apps, the visible subscription price is only the starting point. Image generations, voice minutes, higher memory context, extra character slots and credit packs can all change what you pay. This guide focuses on documented prices and the practical arithmetic, not fictional “average” charges.
The three costs to distinguish
Base subscription: the recurring charge for access. Metered extras: coins, moments, tokens or credits used on particular activities. Upfront commitment: the payment you make today for a quarterly or annual plan, even if the advertising shows an equivalent per-month figure.
Documented case: OurDream Standard
The official billing guide lists $19.99 per month with 1,000 Dreamcoins per month. Its annual plan costs $119.88 on purchase, the equivalent of $9.99 per month. The annual offer starts with 2,000 coins, including a 1,000-coin bonus, followed by 1,000 monthly grants. The higher initial balance is not a permanent doubling of monthly coins.

What about other subscriptions?
Kindroid’s official subscription page currently directs visitors to checkout for their country-specific subscription figures and identifies Standard, Ultra and MAX as stacked tiers. A separate published price sheet lists optional direct-web purchased selfie credits at $9.99 for 100 or $5.99 for 50. That is evidence for the additional-credit price, not a verified monthly Standard fee. Joi’s official terms confirm automatic recurring billing and potential add-on charges but do not provide one universally applicable subscription figure.
These products should not be ranked as cheapest until their checkout quotes and realistic usage allowances are comparable.
